In addition to the traditional and always crucial metrics of cost, quality and delivery, other top priorities are resiliency, sustainability and focus on enabling the Software-Defined Vehicle.
To meet the need for innovation in this fast-paced market, our distinctive approach is ‘Co-innovation at speed’ with our suppliers to make the drive a better and more affordable user experience.
SUSTAINABILITY IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN
Our Supplier Code of Conduct defines requirements for our suppliers, to ensure they act in accordance with our approach to cybersecurity, human rights, health & safety, responsible sourcing of raw materials, business ethics and compliance, supplier responsibility.
We expect our suppliers to make their contribution towards the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. We outlined CO2 reduction targets to our suppliers in order to develop plans targeting at least a 25% emissions reduction by 2025. We require to increase the use of renewable energy and recycled materials.
We monitor direct and indirect supplier risks through a risk management platform, Resilinc, which assesses their supply chain resilience. When critical risks are detected, we require suppliers to submit a Business Continuity Plan to mitigate them.
Alongside our Supplier Code of Conduct, we introduced a supplier nomination process requiring an ESG self-assessment, ISO 14001 certification, and evaluation of resiliency risk.
In line with our Innovation Strategy, we have strict controls in place to ensure ESG factors are considered when sourcing materials, and we engage our suppliers to ensure sustainability-related compliance and best practice.
In 2023, we introduced a global materials catalog to streamline our supply chain, which also generates indirect benefits to our sustainability efforts, enabling us to make lower carbon intensity choices.
We require suppliers to submit the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT), Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT), or a formal declaration of non-use of conflict minerals.
The General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) are applicable exclusively to Purchase Orders issued by Marelli entity in a relevant specific country. Therefore, please download the specific GTC version of the country in which the Purchase Orders has been issued by a Marelli entity. For the countries not present herein, the relevant Purchase Orders are/will be regulated by separate agreements between the Parties.
Unless otherwise stated in a written agreement signed by Marelli, the Marelli Purchase Agreement shall apply to all Global Purchase Orders for products issued by Marelli, including the electronic ones.
At Marelli, we recognize that our Suppliers play a major role in helping us to achieve a sustainable supply chain, with responsible and ethical business practices. As such, it is essential that we select Suppliers that are aligned with our own corporate values.
With this aim, we have created the Marelli Supplier Code of Conduct to clearly set out the social, human, economic and environmental sustainability standards that we expect from all Suppliers that conduct business with us.
